A new branch library that evokes the feeling of a cottage in the woods. Special feature areas were created, including cozy window seats for reading, a lounge area with fireplace, a teen zone, and a children’s area in a turret with a whimsical storybook mural.
An underutilized 1,850-sf space was renovated into Studio 304, a lab where patrons can create a variety of digital media. The space accommodates modern equipment, individual workstations, casual seating, private recording rooms, and a staff workroom.
The renovation updated all three stories, creating more engaging spaces on the main levels. Children’s, Teen, and high circulation material are located on the main floor, non-fiction and study rooms on the second floor, and local history, computer labs, and administration offices on the third floor.
