Bremen Public Library Addition and Renovation

Location

Bremen, Indiana

Size

16,600 SF

Completed Date

Summer 2022

The Bremen Public Library project consists of an addition, renovation of the existing building, and site improvements, which together enhance patrons’ experience, provide the public with more opportunities to utilize the collection and meeting spaces, and bring the facility up to current ADA accessibility standards.

The ground floor addition expands the children’s department with a craft room, story time space, and storage.  These new dedicated spaces allow for more children’s programs and relieve stress on the shared spaces where these activities previously took place. Interior finishes have been upgraded, including flooring, paint, ceilings, and cabinetry. New circulation desks in the adult and children’s departments are designed for new technology and improved patron service.  A dedicated young adult space serves the teens.

Site improvements focus on safety and accessibility, while also providing outdoor spaces, such as a courtyard for patrons and meeting room users.
